What NewsPicks Provides is Information, Not Skills like Analysis
Newspicks provides information, not skills like analysis. I wonder why that is. blu3mo mentions that IB specializes in the methods of processing information. I'm curious about IB. blu3mo compares it to MOOCs and wonders if it's possible to acquire those skills in a similar way. This contradicts the hypothesis of "Who benefits when knowledge (content) is democratized in education? What becomes the necessary resource?" It seems like Stanford offers classes that are similar to Newspicks. They are categorized as Ways of Thinking/Ways of Doing in the Stanford Undergrad program. This also relates to the discussion of Knowledge and wisdom.
